In spring/summer 2020 I had the fantastic opportunity to be part of this wonderful Michael Bully Herbig project. It is based on the book “Tausend Zeilen Lüge" (“A Thousand Lines of Lies") by Juan Moreno, in which the incredible story of Spiegel reporter Claas Relotius is told.

“Chronik” magazine
I developed the whole corporate identity for “Chronik” magazine in close collaboration with production designer Bernd Lepel. My tasks included designing the logo, corporate fonts and the magazine's layouts, several covers and over 160 pages of content.

Chronik article “Jaegers Grenze”
I loved working on this article in close collaboration with propmaster Johannes Wild and assistant prop master Maresa Geissler. It was quite challenging getting together all the needed content, but in the end everything just fell into place perfectly. The article turned out to be a real hero prop, which appears several times throughout the movie, even in the closing credits of the film.

Press award trophies and photo backdrops
For a scene in which one of our protagonist wins a lot of press awards, I had to design several logos, trophies and backdrops for a photo shoot. Some of the trophies get a second, quite fun appearance later in the movie and are thrown at our star reporter.

Press award “Deutscher Presse Preis” (“German Press Award”)
For the scene of the german press award ceremony I designed the corporate identity, several backdrops, the speakers desk and moderation cards.

Beside the things for the ceremony itself, I also had to design invitation and nomination cards.

“CHRONIK” magazine corporate design for the publishing house' offices
I did a lot of the designs needed for set decoration of the publishing house' lobby and offices. For the editorial manager's office for example, I designed a couple of golf tournament certificates.

Alster Bank logo
In close collaboration with concept artist Nebojsa Tabacki I designed the “Alster Bank” logo and several additional information plates.

BBQ sauces packaging
I designed these product wrappers for a BBQ Scene in the Sonoran Desert.

I designed a lot of research material about Arizona, Alta Valley and the Sonoran Desert for one of the two main protagonists “Lars Bogenius”.

”Mexico Wings” logo and boarding pass
I enjoyed working on this Mexican airline logo, but I think at the end it didn´t make it into the movie.
