Annie Atkins Workshop
Sass-Brothers
Info
Creation of graphic props to practice what I took home from a fantastic Annie Atkins (Grand Budapest Hotel, Bridge of Spies) workshop - Graphic Design for Filmmaking - that I attended in early December of 2017.

I decided to illustrate the story of the Sass-Brothers, two „Gentlemen Safe-Breakers“ who robbed several allegedly burglar-proof banks in Berlin in the late 1920s. They stole the wealth from the rich, stuffed bills into the mailboxes oft the poor and bribed politicians to look the other way. I decided to tell the story by showing the detective’s desk, displaying several pieces of evidence and a newspaper featuring an article about the latest robbery.

Props
The police file, two bottles of expensive wine found by the police in the strongroom after the robbery, a newspaper reporting about the latest robbery, and also an invoice addressed to the Sass Brothers as evidence for the purchase of a flame torch comparable to the ones used to open safes in previous robberies.
